![]() Hopefully Facebook will continue to focus of features that make it easier for users to have a cleaner experience on their app. Users have long complained that the app is extremely slow on lower end hardware, with large app sizes battery drain issues. Users will definitely find this as a welcome feature as the app has been getting more bloated with options and features. However, on my iPhone, there IS a 'Shortcuts' option listed within the Preferences menu. ![]() On my iPad, I have exactly the same problem as you: there is no 'Shortcuts' option listed within the Preferences menu. Here you will find toggles for each shortcut to be turned off or on. It looks like this is an inconsistent problem. The second way to access this option is to go to the three-line More tab ⇾ Settings & Privacy ⇾ Settings ⇾ Shortcuts menu. Long pressing the shortcut in the navigation brings up a menu with the options to either remove the shortcut from the bar or turn of notifications from the shortcut. Either by long pressing the shortcut in the navigation or through the app settings. The setting can be accessed through two ways. Toggles for groups, events and marketplace may arrive in the future. For Indian users, currently there are toggles for Friend requests and Profile. The update seems to appear differently for different countries. The option is now rolling out everyone, with iOS users already having the update and Android users getting it over the next few weeks. On the Feeds tablocated in the shortcut bar at the bottom of the Facebook app on iOS and at the top of the app on Androidusers won’t see any suggested content. This also works for apps in the “More” section of the interface, so you can move apps to and from the hidden “More” list with ease.Facebook has been testing the option to let users customise their navigation bar in its Beta app for a while.
